Yes, in such cases, the student must be academically very strong but he must demonstrate interests and hobbies outside academics. The SOP must be very good, even the reference letters will carry a lot of weightage. Intelligently, draft your application and apply early.

Hi,
If you are looking for Bachelor's degree, an overall IELTS of 6 is recommended with no section less than 5.5. For PG courses, an overall score of 6.5 is required mostly with no part less than 6. This is a general overview of the requirements. The scholarships will depend on your profile. Mostly, financial aid is offered by the universities on merit basis.

Hi,
65% is alright, however an overall score of 5.5 is not good. I will suggest you to retake IELTS exam. MS programs require 6.5 or higher in IELTS.
