You are a civil engineer, so you are eligible to apply for both subjects, but for civil engineer transportation is more relevant than geology and in terms of job prospect, both have great prospects. USA and Canada is a better option.

Hello Karthik,
Definitely, you can pursue other courses like MBA. If you are planning to take up a different engineering courses like Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science, you might be given the admit. But, its very difficult to get VISA due to change of stream and you will be identified as potential immigrant. So its always recommended to do specialisation in your stream. Being a Civil Engineer, you can opt Construction Engineering and Management, Transportation Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Structural Engineering.
All the best.

Hello Durga Prasad,
You might be able to get into few good universities under certain conditions with an IELTS score of 5, if your profile is too good. But remember, VISA will definitely be rejected as they ask for a minimum of 6 in IELTS. Also as per the new regulations, if you get a conditional admit due to English proficiency then the program of study in your i20 will be mentioned as English course rather than computer science, which might affect you while availing the loan.
I would suggest you to retake IELTS and score 6.5 and above with no band less than 6.
All the best!

Hello, it is difficult to list out names of every university. The answer can be put up this way - every university gives conditional admission and every university can accept IELTS 6. Certain factors affecting the decision includes the selectivity criteria of the universities and applicant's overall profile. You must contact the universities directly in this regard.
Regards.
