Minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is typically required with no band score flling below 6.0. These score requirments ensure that students have a solid command of the English Language in listening, speaking, reading and writing. International students seeking admission at the University of St. Gallen are required to satisfy the course-specific eligibility criteria as prescribed by the university to secure their candidature in the desired course. Additionally, international students are also required to submit proof of their linguistic proficiency via the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The valid score as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) can be course-specific. However, as per the guidelines of the University of St. Gallen, the average Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) score accepted by the University of St. Gallen is C1 which is equivalent to a 7 IELTS band. Hence, a 5.5 IELTS score is not enough to get you into the University of St. Gallen.
