As per UPSC, any government official applying for IES/ ESE will get the age relaxation even if he/she is already working on a post which is considered of a higher officer cadre. There is an age relaxation for the ones who have worked with any government organisation on contractual basis for a period of 3 years or more.

IES MCRC has a full-fledged placement cell and our placement track records are good. Many good companies do visit IES MCRC with good profiles. Specifically, if you are asking about finance, all I would like to say is students get opportunities in banks, equity research companies, asset management companies, derivatives, research consultants, advisories, etc.

Hello,
Be updated about the current topics (at least of the last 4-6 months). Never create chaos in a GD. Let others speak as well. Pitch in the discussion only with relevant entries. Back your points with relevant examples and/or stats. Speak confidently in a firm voice. Do not point fingers at anyone, and refrain from being aggressive. All the best!

If you are willing to appear in UPSC CSE rather than IES than this is a different field as IES is technical field but UPSC CSE ask you questions related to social studies, gs and current affairs with Science and maths of 10th level only. So for CSE preparation you must cover ncert of 6th to 12th standard. Then you should move to other books.
