For 2015-17 batch, the lowest is around Rs 6 LPA with an average around Rs 9 LPA and highest is Rs 18 LPA. This information is for the whole batch. Generally, it is observed that students with work experience of 2-3 years get more than a fresher.

Students with work experience in IT generally got business analyst roles and one student got project lead role. Work experience people get higher packages. This year Accenture offered more than Rs 10 lakhs per annum. Capegmini offered PPO's. TCS and INFY also recruited freshers as well as work-experienced. Apart from IT companies if student (work-experience /fresher) opting for FE got offers in HSBC, Credit Suisse, CRISIL, BOA.

MBA in finance is important from the perspective of today's scenario of India. In our country financial literacy is still lower than normal. Still, a majority of rural and semi-urban areas are devoid of good proper banks. MBA in finance that too from IFMR which is serving towards the purpose of improving financial literacy in India is a good opportunity.

IFMR offers specialization in financial engineering, which is offered by only a few institutes in India. IFMR has a great team of finance professors some are best in India. You will get a good platform to work on finance projects with the help of good databases. You can check it on IFMR's website.

IFMR is a better option. The average packeg offered is Rs.6 LPA to Rs.7 LPA. IFMR has 100% placement record. It is mainly known for finance. Apart from studies, IFMR conducts all kinds of events like cultural, sports, etc.
All the faculty members are from branded B-schools. Every student is given a mentor for any kind of difficulties. The best part is that IFMR is the only B-school to have financial engineering as an elective. IFMR has Bloomberg terminal and mock trading room.

IFMR doesn't provide any on spot registration. You need prior submission of PGDM forms and valid score in an entrance exam to be called for GDPI round and admission process.

Firstly, prepare a good 1-2 minutes introduction. Most of your questions will be based on your introduction and your CV. Prepare well on each and every point mentioned in your CV along with illustrations. Don't try to beat around the bush when you are not sure of any answer.
For WAT just keep a good know-how about the recent major global activities like Trump's election, demonetization in India, the role of digitization in India.
