As per the placement report 2023, the IFMR average package offered during the 2023 placements drive stood INR 13.50 LPA. Earlier in 2022, the average package offered stood at INR 11.21 LPA. Thus, a rise of 16% in the average package was observed in 2023 when compared with 2022. Going back to 2021 placements, the average package offered stood at INR 10 LPA.

IFMR offers good placements for its MBA course annually. In 2023, the institute recorded 100% placements for its MBA cohort of 2021-23. A total of 55 recruiters participated in the placement process and placed all 184 students in new-age job roles. The highest and average package offered during IFMR placements 2023 stood at INR 22.90 LPA and INR 13.50 LPA, respectively. The eligibility criteria for the MBA course at IFMR Chennai is that the candidate should have passed a full-time graduation degree in any stream from a recognised institute/ university with minimum 60% aggregate. Further, candidates must have been born after 01 January, 1997 as per the minimum age requirement. Candidates in the final year of the undergraduate degree can also apply for the course. Also, students from ODL (Open and Distance Learning) institutions are also eligible to apply as per the UGC policy and notification.
