MA is a postgraduate academic degree that is awarded in a non-science subject. An MA is a 2-year degree program that can be done in subjects like English, Hindi and any regional or foreign language.
The basic eligibility criterion to be fulfilled by students for applying to MA course is completion Bachelors degree in any stream. Admission to the course is based on entrance exams along with merit obtained by students in Bachelors degree. However the eligibility may vary from university to university.

Eligibility criteria : Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST) in (I) B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time from a recognised University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects. Or (ii) B.E. / B.Tech. From a recognised University
