IIFT Application Form

The IIFT entrance exam is conducted in about 63 cities across India. Candidates can select up to four cities in the application for test centre allotment. The IIFT test centre will be allotted to every candidate in the first city of preference. Candidates have to upload the following documents with the IIFT application form:Recent passport-size photo against light colour backgroundThe photo should not be more than 3 months’ oldScanned signature with a black pen on a white backgroundCategory certificate (SC/ST/PwD certificate if applicable)Photo ID issued by the Government of IndiaApart from uploading these documents, candidates will need certain other document to fill the IIFT application form without errors. Candidates must keep by their side, class 10 mark sheet, class 12 mark sheet, graduation mark sheet, address proof, date of birth certificate and net banking details.

IIFT form correction window will be opened after the conclusion of application process. The form correction dates will be announced along with the registration schedule, which is expected in September 2023. No, there is no discount in IIFT application fees for OBC candidates. Only SC/ST/PwD candidates can avail discount on IIFT application fee. As per the latest notification, the IIFT entrance exam application fee for OBC candidates is INR 2,500, same as that for General category candidates. The fee amount that the SC/ST/PwD candidates have to pay is INR 1,250. Every candidate has to pay the fee at the time of application form submission and in online mode only. The IIFT fee payment is to be done via debit or credit card or net banking. Candidates must note that the IIFT application fee is non-refundable and until the fee is paid, the IIFT application form will not be accepted.

The IIFT exam application form is released in online mode only at the IIFT website. Candidates have to submit their online application form before the deadline in order to be eligible to appear in the exam. In case you have made an error in the IIFT application form, you can rectify it when the form correction window opens (after the form submission process). However, only a few sections of the IIFT application form can be rectified during the form correction process such as image and signature. Thus, candidates must fill the IIFT entrance exam forms correctly in the first attempt only and make sure to review every field before hitting the submit button. If they fill incorrect details, they will have to register again with a new phone number and email ID and pay the fees too. Incorrect or incomplete forms will be rejected and you may not be allowed to appear for the exam.

No, there is no age bar on appearing in IIFT entrance exam. Any candidate with a bachelor's degree from a recognised university having scored a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate can appear for IIFT entrance exam. The minimum score criteria for SC/ST/PwD candidates is 45 per cent aggregate. Final year graduation students can also appear in the exam. The exam is for MBA degree so a fresh graduate as well as a working professionals of junior, middle or senior levels can also appear for the exam. In fact, candidates with work experience are given preference over fresh graduates during the selection rounds. Candidates can appear for the IIFT entrance exam multiple times as well.

The IIFT entrance exam will not be conducted this year, for admission to the batch of 2025-27. The selection of candidates will be be based on CAT 2024 scores. Till 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) used to conduct the entrance exam on behalf of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi. The NTA had been conducting the IIFT entrance exam since 2019. The IIFT exam pattern, syllabus, fees, eligibility criteria and fees, etc. were determined by the institute. The NTA only conducted online registration and the exam and announced the IIFT result. The NTA was also the sole authority for accepting or rejecting candidature, allotment of test centres, managing arrangements at the exam centre, checking response sheets, examining answer keys and objections.After the IIFT result announcement by the NTA, the institute would take over for admission and selection process which includes, release of cut offs, written assessment, extempore, personal interview. Now, the selection process will be conducted after CAT 2024 result announcement.
