No, there is no discount in IIFT application fees for OBC candidates. Only SC/ST/PwD candidates can avail discount on IIFT application fee. As per the latest notification, the IIFT entrance exam application fee for OBC candidates is INR 2,500, same as that for General category candidates. The fee amount that the SC/ST/PwD candidates have to pay is INR 1,250. Every candidate has to pay the fee at the time of application form submission and in online mode only. The IIFT fee payment is to be done via debit or credit card or net banking. Candidates must note that the IIFT application fee is non-refundable and until the fee is paid, the IIFT application form will not be accepted.

No, there is no age bar on appearing in IIFT entrance exam. Any candidate with a bachelor's degree from a recognised university having scored a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate can appear for IIFT entrance exam. The minimum score criteria for SC/ST/PwD candidates is 45 per cent aggregate. Final year graduation students can also appear in the exam. The exam is for MBA degree so a fresh graduate as well as a working professionals of junior, middle or senior levels can also appear for the exam. In fact, candidates with work experience are given preference over fresh graduates during the selection rounds. Candidates can appear for the IIFT entrance exam multiple times as well.

The IIFT entrance exam will not be conducted this year, for admission to the batch of 2025-27. The selection of candidates will be be based on CAT 2024 scores. Till 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) used to conduct the entrance exam on behalf of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi. The NTA had been conducting the IIFT entrance exam since 2019. The IIFT exam pattern, syllabus, fees, eligibility criteria and fees, etc. were determined by the institute. The NTA only conducted online registration and the exam and announced the IIFT result. The NTA was also the sole authority for accepting or rejecting candidature, allotment of test centres, managing arrangements at the exam centre, checking response sheets, examining answer keys and objections.After the IIFT result announcement by the NTA, the institute would take over for admission and selection process which includes, release of cut offs, written assessment, extempore, personal interview. Candidates can choose up to three cities in the IIFT application form for test centre allotment. The exam authority strives to allot a test centre in the city of first preference, depending upon availability.

Yes, the IIFT syllabus is similar to CAT syllabus. The topics included in English, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Aptitude section of IIFT exam are same as CAT. The topics included in these sections of IIFT are same as that of CAT. In VARC section, one has to study reading comprehension, verbal ability, vocabulary and grammar. In Quantitative Aptitude section of both exams, there are questions from Arithmetic, Mensuration, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Modern Math, etc. In Data Interpretation, one has to study Tables, Charts, Graphs and Venn Diagrams. The Logical Reasoning section of both exams has questions from Sequence, Number System, Coding-Decoding, Family Tree, Blood Relations, Series, etc.However, IIFT aspirants have to study General Awareness too as it is one of the four sections of IIFT question paper. The General Awareness section is memory based and can be prepared in the last month before the IIFT exam. The IIFT cut offs for admission to MBA International Business are determined the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Delhi for all three campuses. The NTA has no role in the admission process of IIFT. It only conducts the entrance exam and its role ends with preparation and release of IIFT entrance exam result.
The IIFT Delhi determines the admission cut off on the basis of certain factors such as number of applicants, number of test takers, difficulty level of the exam, number of seats, previous year's cut offs, etc. There are two types of cut offs in IIFT - qualifying cut offs and final cut offs. The qualifying cut offs, are mere eligibility score that the candidate has to score to be eligible for selection to the extempore and PI round.
