IIHM Goa is usually regarded as a Tier 2 institution in terms of hotel management and hospitality education in India. Tier 1 institutions in India typically include older and more established hotel management schools, such as the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Pusa in Delhi, IHM Mumbai, and Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) in Manipal. However, IIHM Goa remains a solid choice, particularly for individuals interested in the hospitality business, considering its location in a major tourist destination and linkages to the local and worldwide hospitality industries.
