No admission form. It is only through JOSAA. When the portal opens, you have to select which branches of which colleges you are applying for. You can set the priority of your choices by arranging them linearly with topmost choice of higher preference. You have to select the choices before a stipulated time. After locking of choices, based on your rank you will start getting your college from your choice list. If you are not satisfied, you can wait for subsequent rounds so that an upgrade of choice can occur. Once you get a seat and you are satisfied you have to report to the nearest centre to finalize your seat.

Hope you are doing well. See, normal B.Tech course is of 4 years, but this course is of 5 years. Moreover, you will complete the course of 6 years in 5 years itself. It is highly research involved. But, generally people do not prefer it. I too don't know the reason for that. Hope, this helps you. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

IIITs (Indian institute of information technology) are almost equal to NITs but not better than the top NITs like Trichy, Warangal, etc.
You can study in a IIIT if you don't get a good NIT. But the IIITs don't offer all the courses or many engineering courses that the NITs offer.
In NITs, you can have civil, chemical, ECE, EEE, CSE, etc. but in IIITs, you will mostly have CSE, ECE and IT as the name implies.
Go for top IIITs if you don't get NITs.
