Yes, you will get a NIT if your rank is 5.5k. Don't worry, you will get a college. You can get colleges like NIT Arunachal Pradesh, IIIT SONEPAT, IIIT KALYANI, etc. I am providing you the link. Please check the college list. I have mentioned a few of them:

Hello,
As you said you have got 9069 rank in JEE Mains from SC category so you are eligible for NIT or IIIT along with your preferred branch. Go for counselling and fill the list of colleges from IIIT to NIT based in priority. You will definitely get one along with your favorite branch.

If you belong to state boards, then chances are there. For that you have to see the different state boards cutoff. But if you belong to CBSE, then you are not eligible for getting admission through josaa.
