IIIT Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for MTech candidates are given below:GATE candidates: Candidates must have a BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent) from a recognised university. They must also have qualified the GATE exam with a minimum score of 750 (or equivalent). Check the GATE Exam Date and prepare for the exams accordingly.Non-GATE candidates: Candidates must have a BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent) from a recognised university. They must also have a valid GATE score.Sponsored candidates: Candidates sponsored by government organizations/reputed industrial organizations/academic institutions are not required to have a GATE score. It is unlikely that you will get a seat in any of the NITs, IITs or GFTIs with a CRL rank of 196580 and an EWS rank of 31691. The cutoff ranks for these institutes are typically much lower than your current rank. However, there are a few factors that could improve your chances of admission.* *Your caste/category:* If you belong to a reserved category, you will have a higher chance of getting a seat than if you are from a general category.* *Your performance in JEE Advanced:* If you perform well in JEE Advanced, you may be eligible for a seat in an IIT or NIT through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) counseling.* *The number of seats available:* The number of seats available in NITs, IITs and GFTIs will depend on the number of students who apply for admission. If there are fewer applicants, the cutoffs will be lower.It is also important to note that the cutoff ranks for NITs, IITs and GFTIs vary from year to year. So, it is possible that your chances of admission could improve if the cutoffs are lower in 2023.If you are not able to get a seat in any of the NITs, IITs or GFTIs, you could still consider applying to other good engineering colleges in India. There are a number of good colleges with good placement records, and you may be able to get a seat with your current JEE Main score.   

The curriculum is totally relevant to industry and covers almost all the exposure to subjects which makes the students ready for industry. The IIIT Surat fee structure is Rs. 5.65 Lacs for the B.Tech courses for four years.Only the candidates who have completed their HSC from a known university or board are eligible. The applicant who is from the general class ought to have achieved a minimum of 50% of the score in their higher education.Candidate should have passed the 12th standard from a recognised board with a certain percentage depending upon the university. Candidates applying for IIIT's need to qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE mains). JEE Mains is one of the most popular engineering entrance exams, conducted by NTA.
