The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Nagpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 27737. In 2023, it decreased to 27288. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from:37580 to 11394 for OBC 132447 to 6770 for SC 238781 to 3707 for ST 36943 to 4824 for EWS 315956 to 1038 for PWDThis trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIIT Nagpur will release 7-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:The JEE Main score of the candidateThe category of the candidateThe number of seats available in the courseCandidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 30936 and closing rank was 36175 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Electronics & Communication Engineering in IIIT Nagpur is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

IIIT Nagpur cutoff for BTech admissions is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. JoSAA Counselling 2023 has been concluded after the release of Round 6. JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses including B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. As per IIIT Nagpur JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 27288 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science Engineering. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

As per the research done online, a score of 150 in JEE Main can give students a rank close to 43,000. In consideration to that and the closing cutoff of BTech courses for the year 2022, a General category student must not expect a seat in any BTech specialisation at IIIT Nagpur. However, other category students still stand a chance to get into this college.
