A student at IIIT Sri City must attend atleast 85% of total classes conducted. If attendance is less than 85%, the student will be downgraded.If due to any medical reasons, the attedance of a student falls in the range of 70%- 85%, then he/she might get exempted on submission of relevant medical documents as per the norms of the Institute. If the attendance, after claiming for medical reasons, is still below 85% then there'll be one grade reduction.If the attendance is below 70%, the student is given an F grade.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 22860 and closing rank was 29951. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIIT Sri City - Indian Institute of Information Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE.
