The highest package during NIT Patna placements was INR 52 LPA whereas at NIT Jabalpur, the highest package offered was INR 46 LPA according to the recent reports. Moreover, according to the NIRF ranking 2022, NIT Patna has been ranked 63 in Engineering category whereas NIT Jabalpur has been ranked 75.

Yes, if you have qualified in JEE Advanced 2023 or JEE Main 2023 and want to secure admission to the participating institutions (IITs, NITs, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs), it is mandatory to register for JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. JoSAA is responsible for the centralized counselling and seat allocation process for all the participating institutes based on the rank obtained by the candidates in JEE Advanced 2023 or JEE Main 2023. The entire admission process, including the allocation of seats, acceptance of seats, and reporting to the allotted institute, is done through JoSAA.

Yes you can try. For ST category, you will need to score at least 100 to 130 in JEE Mains exam.

IISc and IIIT are not doing lateral admission in B.Tech courses. The admission in IISc in B.Tech courses are based on JEE Advanced ranks, while JEE Main is for IIITs.

The eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech programs in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government engineering colleges are as follows:
Qualification: You should have passed your 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
