The placements are completely based on the performance, as so many good companies come to campus drive in the college. Apart from on-campus drive college gives us an opportunity to go for off-campus also. The current placement status of my college is good and college tries their best so students of all departments got placed in the genuine companies before the final semester exam. Overall view of placement in this college is very good. So that every student can be placed in companies visited such as SNAP deal, IBM, Amazon, Wipro, TCS and many more. For the Job prospects, we have careers advise lectures every term. Lots of career organizations are promoted by the department and we are encouraged to sign up to these for extra advice and information. The best thing about the teaching of this course is that it is research-led. The lecturers are done regularly followed by proper research; to enhance their teaching. I like the fact that some of the lecturers encourage us to engage during lectures and discuss issues that arise in the subject they're teaching. It would be great if more lecturers did this. Time to time various events are organized in the university like workshops, Science quiz and many more events which explore the students knowledge. The facilities are really good - with a decent and hygienic quantity also. I tend to use the library computers and printers - of which there is a good supply.

Yes, you can get NITs or IIITs with your rank. All you need to do is some of these steps :
Your choices must include all the branches of NITs. You can omit some of the North Eastern NITs but you must include every branch of the central NITs. Wait till the very end of counselling. Most of the times you can get good NITs or IIITs in the 7th or Special round. Make a list of your choices and arrange it according to your preference and fill it accordingly. According to my prediction you can get a seat in a newly opened IIIT. If you are going to choose it please do check it's Mentor Institute because it can determine your campus life in the institution. No one is going to tell you this but the fact is that in the next 4 years of your B.Tech, you want to enjoy and study. You do not want to waste those years in trying to do something that you are not even interested in. So to answer your question, if you are passionate about CSE, if you are interested in computers, just do not think twice and go for CSE in some new IIIT. You are getting the branch you want and moreover, it a IIIT. New old, it has a reputation, and moreover, there will be companies there for your placement too. There is no problem with taking a new IIIT at all. On the other hand if you take the NIT with any branch you get, you are gonna be miserable for 4 years. You would not believe able to enjoy your classes. You will keep running from college and exams. You will be a little frustrated. That is the problem. I hope this helps you. All the best.
