Hello Ritesh,
IIIT's are built for excelling in the field of information technology, so it consists of only IT and CSE, its substitutes and electronics and communications engineering, whereas other engineering colleges have many more specialisations. IIITs have a edge over other engineering colleges as far as their curriculum is concerned.There is no need to study all the basic subjects like chemistry, drawing, metallurgy, etc. in the first year in IIITs and can directly jump to the subjects of interest. I think you can accept it. IIT is a brand in itself! IIT-Gwalior is a good college with all possible amenities!
And, you have got IT branch that is very demanding and hot career to pursue.

It's as good college as any other national level college but the lack of proper infrastructure and resources prevail which is the reason for various problems here. If you are getting a choice between any other well established NIT or IIIT, then you should go for that.

You have very low or no chances to get a NIT or IIIT as your rank under SC category is 15000. You may get a college by your home state rank (if any colleges are in your state).
