The PhD Program is offered for both Full time as well as in working professional mode in (Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) & Information Technology (IT), and Allied Subjects – English covering following Major areas of Research. For Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology, applicants should possess a Master's degree such as M.Tech, M.E, or MCA+M.Tech in relevant disciplines, with a First Class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) or a CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience is required. Desirable qualifications include a valid GATE Score or an equivalent exam. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with a First Class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) or a CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale. Moreover, a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience is essential. 

The hostel fees at IIIT Bhopal vary depending on the type of accommodation and the number of occupants.and fee can payable in two installments, in the months of july and december, and The hostel fees include accommodation, mess charges, laundry charges, and other miscellaneous charges. The mess charges are fixed at INR 2000/month for all students.
