Interested students applying to IIIT Manipur must meet the eligibility standards outlined in the institution's admission guidelines. In addition, as admissions are entrance-based candidates must pass the admission exam (JEE Main for BTech and GATE/ UGC NET for PhD) as required by the course. Eligible candidates can visit the official website of the respective entrance exam and register themselves by filling out the application form. Students will have to fill in their personal details, educational qualification, etc. and pay the application fee before submitting the form.

With a 90 percentile in JEE Main and belonging to the OBC category, you have a chance to get the CSE branch at some IIITs. To get admission to the BTech course at IIIT's, you must first appear for the accepted entrance exams. Then qualify for the selection rounds. In short, the admissions are based on merit, entrance exam scores, and the other criteria decided by the college.

It will be tough for someone with a 62k overall rank and 18k OBC rank in JEE Mains 2024 to get CSE in the high ranking NITs or IITs. Though you can expect some chances at lower NITs or GFTIs in branches of CSE or allied disciplines other than the main stream (like IT or software). The NITs that you are referring to the likes of NIT Agartala, NIT Sikkim or the more recent ones should be able to provide CSE reservation under OBC. As for GFTIs, the likes of IIITDM Kurnool, Assam University, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology etc. could be tried. For more understanding, keep a watch on the JoSAA counselling.

RGUKT (IIIT Basara) is not under the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Admissions to RGUKT, specifically for the B.Tech Integrated program, are based on the merit of candidates' performance in their 10th standard examinations, rather than CUET scores. The admission process for RGUKT involves evaluating the Grade Point Average (GPA) obtained in the 10th standard, and there are no entrance exams like CUET involved in this process. For M.Tech admissions, the process is conducted through GATE or PGCET, which are separate from CUET as well

Pursuing an M.Tech at RGUKT (IIIT Basara) has a fee structure that can be considered relatively affordable compared to many private institutions. The total tuition fee for the M.Tech programme is approximately Rs. 2.7 Lakhs for the entire duration of the course, which is typically two years. In addition to tuition, students must also account for other expenses, such as hostel and mess charges. The hostel and accommodation fees are approximately Rs. 88,000 per year, along with other one-time fees like an admission fee and a caution deposit.

The placements of B.Tech at RGUKT are considered decent enough since the percentage lies between 70-90% for the last years. The highest package being INR 22 LPA, for average packages the range goes from INR3.5 LPA - INR 7 LPA based on the branch. Major recruiters include TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant. The Training and Placement cell is quite active, with even mock interviews to make the students employable; thus, it's a good option among the rural background students.
