The institute has not released the IIIT Jabalpur CSE average package or other placement details. However, the overall data has been released. As per the report, over 90 companies took participation in 2024 placements and rolled out more than 284 job offers. Further, 65% of the students received a salary above INR 10 LPA. The highest domestic package stood at INR 110 LPA. This year, 3 students received international offers with the highest international package recorded at INR 122 LPA. According to unofficial online sources, a large share of IIIT Jabalpur alumni is working in the Engineering sector with a 43% share. The other top sectors involving most alumni are Education and Research. The average package offered during UG placements 2024 was INR 19.27 LPA and the average package for PG courses stood at INR 12.54 LPA. Earlier, the average package for UG and PG placements 2023 stood at INR 21.63 LPA and INR 13 LPA, respectively. IIIT Lucknow JEE Main Round 1 cutoff was released on June 30. As per the JEE Main 2023 cutoff list, BTech is Computer Science and Technology was the most competitite specialisations with a closing cutoff rank of 8694. The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT Trichy other than General category are - 60677 for OBC, 107451 for SC, 176528 for ST, 54904 for EWS, and 897 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. Moreover, it also varies if the applicant is a female.

For 2022, cut off was 51499 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering in IIIT Trichy. For female candidates in general category under All India quota 60275 was the closing rank. Moreover, the BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant. The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Trichy has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 46497. In 2022, it increased to 51499. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 57080 to 60677 for OBC, 169275 to 107451 for SC, 184297 to 176528 for ST, 52036 to 54904 for EWS, 1573 to 897 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
