IIIT Una provides a BTech programme with three specialisations at the undergraduate level. Based on JEE Main results, IIIT Una admissions are made, and JoSAA counselling comes next. Candidates need to have received at least a 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in Class 12 in order to be eligible. Applicants who wish to apply for the JEE Main entrance exam must go to the NTA's official website. A course-by-course cutoff list is released by the counselling organisations following the application procedure. Applicants may apply if their score is at least as high as the cutoff points. In order to assign seats, candidates seeking for a BTech programme must first go through JoSAA. The qualified candidates receive seats after the selection rounds and counselling.

To apply for BTech course at IIIT Una, candidates must apply for JEE Main first. The JEE Main application form is filled on the official website of NTA. The detailed steps around JEE Main 2024 application procrss are as follows:Step 1: Visit to the JEE-Main official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in).Step 2: Create your user ID and password by filling out the mandatory fields.Step 3: Login through your user ID and password created in the previous step.Step 4: Fill out the required personal and academic details.Step 5: Upload the candidates scanned photograph and signature.Step 6: Upload the required scanned academic certificates and other documents.Step 7: Pay the application fee of INR 1,000 (for general category) or INR 500 (for reserved categories) for final submission of the application form.Step 8: Take the print of the acknowledgment slip for future reference.

As per the cutoff list released by IIIT Una for admission to its flagship BTech programme the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) in the year 2021, 2022 & 2023 was 41419, 28324 & 30243 respectively. This clearly shows that the closing rank for the CSE branch at IIIT Una increased excessively in the year 2022 with respect to the year 2021 but it couldn’t maintain that growth for very long and crashed down to 30243 in the current year 2023 which makes the lowers the difficulty level for those who are willing to enrol in BTech in CSE at IIIT Una. Also, the same trend is followed by the Information Technology branch whose closing rank in the years 2021 & 2022 was 48004 & 31492, respectively but it also slumped down to 37091 in the current year 2023. In addition to this, BTech in Electronics & Communication was no different as it also followed the graph of the former two BTech branches.
