Hi,
I think you are talking about CAT exam.
CAT exams occur once in a year usually on the month of November.
You have to work hard & should attain a good score say 90 percentile or above is required for you to get a call from any IIMs.
For IIM Ahmedabad 95 percentile above may required
May change each year.

Hi,
No, even B.Tech graduates pursuing MBA and also other non-commerce stream graduates too. You will get foundation from the start of MBA class.

After every CAT examination, the minimum cutoff for getting a call from IIMs changes. As per my knowledge for OBC category students require to score more than 85 percentile.

Although IIMA didn't declare the cutoff of ABM, in my experience it was close to 93 percentile.

No, That is most certainly not true. I know a lot of people who had quit jobs to prepare for MBA and are currently in IIMA. Same is the case of people who have dropped out to prepare for something. As long as you can prove that the drop-out or quitting the job was not because of bad performance, you should be good.

Executive MBA is for people who have significant work experience typically more than years. It is usually a one year compact course and it is assumed that you are already familiar with a lot of management concepts. Hence the program usually builds on what you already know.

IIMs have a hard cutoff of 50 percentile and no matter how much you score in CAT, you will not receive a call for IIM if your graduation percentage is less than 50. However if you are above 50 percentage, then to get into IIMs you will need to score really well. I would approximate it to be close to 99.75 percentile.

I dont think that coaching is important. But I seriously think that practice is very important. The more questions you solve, better are your chances of getting into IIM. If you can do that on your own. I dont think you need coaching. However if you need to bring discipline, then you can take some coaching.
