Operations area at IIMA is one of the best that you can find in India. There are several renowned professors who are involved in several consulting projects for government and private corporations. The area offers several courses throughout the year and you can most certainly benefit from them.

No, To get an admission in IIMA, you need to appear for CAT. Only people working outside India are allowed to use GMAT score instead of CAT for admission.

I guess, to get admission in Indian MBA colleges, you need to take at least one entrance exam. There are a lot of these including CAT, MAT, XAT, etc. Depending on the college you decide to pick, you will have to appear for at least one exam.

You are seriously disadvantaged in terms of your academic performance. To get a call from IIMA, you will need to do really well in CAT. I would guess you would certainly need to get more than 99.7 percentile. Higher the percentile, better it is for you.

Highest packages are usually offered by investment banks and there are quite a few of them. Almost all investment banks come to campus and they offer anywhere between Rs.40-70 lakhs per annum (including bonus).
