IIM Ahmedabad gives 30% weightage to academics. However, the competition is so cut-throat, you might end up losing your seat with an 80% in 1 or 2 of the 3 years.

While, it is impossible to pursue full-time regular MBA from Iims without CAT as it is a mandatory criteria for admission, there are other MBA courses candidates can opt for if they don't want to appear in CAT or don't have valid CAT score, The overall qualifying CAT cut-off for IIM Ahmedabad shortlist is 80 percentile for General Category, 75 percentile for NC-OBC, Transgender Categories, 70 for SC and PwD Categories and 60 for ST Category. cutoff information for Master of Business Administration (MBA) at IIM Ahmedabad:
CAT 2022 cutoff has declined down to 80 percentile with sectional cut off around 70 which is much lower than last year.
