Candidates when filling out the application form also need to pay an application fee. For MBA, aspirants need to register for CAT. Aspirants need to pay an application fee of INR 2400 (for UR candidates) and INR 1200 (for reserved categories) for CAT. Academic scores is a parameter and a component considered for calculating the final composite score. Once the PI round is over, candidates are selected based on their composite score. IIM Amritsar composite score include the PI score and Post PI score. The post-PI score for each candidate is calculated based on the aggregate scores obtained in PI, work experience, gender diversity and academic diversity. The pre-PI score is calculated based on CAT score, academic performance, gender diversity and work experience. Since, academic scores are an important part of selection, aspirants must score well.

Yes, IIM Amritsar provide equal opportunity to students to apply for scholarships. The IIM Amritsar scholarship recipient will continue to receive the allotted scholarship in the second year of the MBA programme as well only if the candidate secures a CGPA of not less than 2.96 in the first year.

Candidates aspiring to take admission to the MBA programme must meet the minimum CAT percentile mentioned in the cutoff list released by IIM Amritsar. According to the cutoff list for admission to the MBA programme at IIM Amritsar, the minimum percentile for overall and section-wise categories in CAT was 94 in the year 2022. So, if trends are to be trusted then the minimum percentile for overall as well as section-wise category in the CAT exam should be near 94. IIM Amritsar is one of the reputed and ranked IIMs offering MBA programme. In 2024 NIRF Ranking, IIM Amritsar was ranked at 47 under the 'Management' Category.
