It is not mandatory to have work experience for joining IIM Bangalore. However, understand that while selection, a certain weight is assigned for work experience and you will get 0 in that category. Having said that, it is not entirely impossible. I am currently a first year student at IIMB and I joined straight out of B-Tech without any work experience.
Just have faith in yourself. All the best.

First of all, understand that no one can reliably tell you the exact minimum CAT percentile that you need to get an interview call from IIMB. The shortlisting criteria keeps on changing every year. Broadly speaking, some weights are assigned to each of class 10th, 12th, graduation score, and work experience (both in terms of number of years and relevance). Also, extra points are given to non-engineers (academic diversity) and for gender diversity. My take on this would be that past is already written and there is nothing you can do to change it. Your aim ideally should be to score as much as possible and not restrict yourse

The minimum CAT cut-off would be a very biased and limited way to look at the admission procedure. Minimum CAT cutoff would imply that the candidate had brilliant interview, GD and WAT rounds and also his profile was quite stellar. Instead a better way would be to look at the overall composite score which also can be quite random and varies significantly across 6 IIMs. Thus, rather than focusing on these uncontrollable variables, I would advise you to not limit yourself by aiming for a particular CAT score but rather aim to score as high as possible. Having said all this, your 10th, 12th and graduation scores are good to g

Though your percentages are on lower side, it is certainly not impossible to get calls from ABC. But do remember that these 10th and 12th scores carry significant weights for calculating the composite scores. So, even after getting a call, it will be very difficult to get the final admission. Having said that, there are many other good MBA colleges that you can get if you score a good CAT percentile. So, my advice would be to not limit yourself to aim by aiming for a particular CAT score but rather aim to score as high as possible. Good scores do speak for themselves. All the best.

IIM Bangalore as such does not have any minimum cutoff percentage in class 10th, 12th or Bachelors, which you need to clear. However, it assigns a weight of 50% (20% for 10th, 10% for 12th and 20% for bachelors score) and thus, it would be difficult to get a call from IIM Bangalore (refer to http://www.iimb.ac.in/sites/default/files/iimb-pgp-admission-process.pdf). IIM Ahmedabad on the other hand has a minimum cutoff percentage which is set at 80 percentile score. Thus, looking at your graduation score, it would be impossible to get a call from IIMA (unless you are in top 20 percentile at your college, please refer to https:/
