A full-time bachelor's degree in any discipline or an equivalent academic pursuit (10+2+3) with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA (47% for NC-OBC/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/DAP) is required for admission to the IIM Kashipur MBA programme. Candidates also need to have a valid GMAT score, with the exam taken no earlier than May 1, 2022, or a valid CAT-2023 score. For candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Non-Creamy Other Backward Class (NC-OBC), Differently Abled Person (DAP), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS), IIM Kashipur adheres to the Government of India's reservation policies.

First of all, getting an IIM call depends on a lot of factors other than CAT percentile like number of applicants, seats available etc. Officially IIM Amritsar requires 90 percentile and IIM Sirmaur and Kashipur both requires 95 percentile for a general category student to get a call for GD PI. But in cases with a good academic profile with achievements and/or work experience or academic diversity or an impressive resume, people have gotten calls with 92+ percentile in baby Iims like Sirmaur and Amritsar.
