No, meeting the CAT cutoff percentile is not the only criteria for admission. IIM Lucknow admission is a two-stage process. In the first stage, candidates are shortlisted for the WAT and PI round on the basis of their performance in the CAT, scholastic achievement, and relevant work experience. In the second stage, aspirants will be evaluated on parameters such as the Scaled CAT 2024 score, Class 12 marks, Graduation marks, Work Experience, Diversity Factor and Gender Diversity as per their weightage fixed by the institute. The IIM Lucknow CAT qualifying cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to PGP, PGP-ABM, and PGP-SM courses for different categories. For 2025 admission, the IIM Lucknow PGP-ABM qualifying CAT cutoff is 85 percentile (overall) for the students belonging to the general category in the AI quota. For EWS and NC-OBC categories, the minimum qualifying percentile is 77. Candidates can refer to the table below to view the sectional and overall cutoff percentiles for different categories. For admission to IIM Lucknow flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM/ MBA) and PGP ABM and PGP SM programmes, the institute accepts CAT scores. After the release of CAT results, the institute shortlists candidates based on their CAT scores, work experience, academic performance, and several other factors for the WAT and PI rounds. Admissions are possible only after clearing the selection rounds.

IIM Lucknow is a public/government college. IIM Lucknow ranks 5 in India and 85 globally by the FT Global 2024 rankings and continues to be a top choice for the MBA aspirants in India and abroad. Being a government college the fee is not very high. Even if the students feel the fee is high worry not and contact the college for scholarship availability information.
