Preparation for anything depends on how quickly you learn. There are people who start one year before and some 3 months before the exam date. Personally, for an average student with moderate grasping and commitment towards the test can take 4 to 5 months for proper preparation along with mocks.

Yes, IIMs would be the best for doing Executive MBA courses. For this you need to contact them directly. They offer such courses for limited periods in the year.

It totally depends on your interest. IIM will be good if you are interested towards management side and UPSC if you want to get a govt. job. So just find your interest.

Hello Kishor,
If you take CAT exam in 2018 then you would get admission into a particular B-School (only if you clear the interview rounds) the next year i.e. 2019. Since the full-time MBA program is of two years duration, you would graduate in 2021 (assuming you clear all the necessary exams).

It's good to see your awareness and seriousness towards cracking a management entrance exam so early. Still, in the first year, there is ample time for you. You can start improving your vocabulary by reading good novels/books and newspapers daily(especially the editorial columns). Solving some good logical puzzles and related questions will also help in keeping your mind fit and sharp. Nothing much needed to do for Maths, as of now. just ensure your basic concepts are strong. 1-1.5 hours is quite sufficient to prepare for the time being.

Hello Tani,
Your academics are good. For cracking IIM A, B and C, you can expect your graduation marks to be equivalent or above 75%.
Also , IIMs ABC usually take students above 99percentile (depending upon the cut-off).
