If a student is unable to attend an internal assessment at IIM Raipur due to a legitimate reason, such as sickness or a family crisis, they have the option to request a resit. The procedure typically involves submitting an application within a specified time period, usually a few days after the missed assessment.After evaluating the student's application, the institution evaluates the validity of the given reason. If the reason is considered acceptable, the student is granted authorization to retake the assessment. The resit is scheduled to occur at the end of the semester, providing the student with an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and comprehension of the subject matter.

Starting from the academic year 2023-2025, IIM Raipur houses a total of 583 scholars. This comprises of 328 scholars enrolled in the PGP curriculum, 200 scholars in the ePGP curriculum, and 55 scholars in the PhD curriculum.The PGP curriculum spans over two years and is designed for individuals holding a bachelor's degree, whereas the ePGP curriculum is a part-time programme catering to professionals already engaged in employment.On the other hand, the PhD curriculum is a three-year full-time programme specifically tailored for individuals with a master's degree. Established in 2010, IIM Raipur has emerged as one of the leading business schools in India. In the 2023 placements, PGP scholars achieved an average salary of INR 20 LPA, with the highest salary reaching INR 67.60 LPA.

Admission to IIM Raipur is not direct. The Post Graduate Program (PGP) requires going through the Common Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the IIMs. CAP consists of two stages: shortlisting based on CAT score and academics, followed by a personal interview (PI) and group discussion (GD). The minimum CAT percentile for PI at IIM Raipur is 92 for General and EWS candidates, and 80 for NC-OBC, SC, and ST candidates. Selection is based on overall performance in CAT, academics, PI, and GD.Other ways to gain admission include the Lateral Entry (LE) programme for professionals with three years of experience, and the Executive MBA (EMBA) programme for working professionals.
