IIM Shillong - Indian Institute of Management Admission Process

IIM Shillong's MBA programme selection procedure is multi-staged. Candidates must first take the CAT exam and meet the institute's cutoff criterion. No, there is no need to appear for CAT for admission to the IPM course in IIM Indore. There is a separate exam for IPM admission conducted by IIM Indore with the name - IPMAT - Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test.IIM Indore conducts its own IPMAT, IIM Ranchi accepts IPMAT Indore scores and SAT scores, IIM Rohtak conducts it own IPMAT and IIM Bodh Gaya and Jammu together conduct an examination called JIPMATAll three IPMAT exams have different patterns and difficulty levels. While IPMAT Indore is the most challenging exam, IPMAT Rohtak and JIPMAT are at similar levels. On the other hand, IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak conduct a GDPI process for the IPM programme after the aptitude test, but IIM Jammu and IIM Bodhgaya do not.

IIM Shillong process of shortlisting candidates for GDPI is independent of those of other IIMs. IIM Shillong sends an intimation mail to the registered email of the shortlisted candidates. The Candidates are required to fill out the interview form and upload the same on the Admission Portal of IIM Shillong.IIM Shillong, then sends GD/PI call letters to only those candidates who have filled the interview form correctly. IIM Shillong does not send any intimation to those candidates who are not shortlisted, or who haven't filled the interview form correctly within the stipulated time.Based on the performance of the candidate in GDPI, a merit list for final admission offers is prepared. IIM Shillong also prepares a waitlist, according to the ranks of the candidate, for admission in case any candidate do not accept the admission offer.
