IIM Shillong's admissions procedure is highly competitive, with the total cutoff changing each year based on criteria such as candidate pool quality and seat availability. For the 2024-2026 batch, the institute has established minimum percentile standards for each category. General category candidates must achieve a minimum overall percentile of 75, with sectional cutoffs of 75 in VARC, 70 in DILR, and 70 in QA. IIM Shillong accepts CAT sectional cutoff for admission to the MBA course. CAT cutoff 2023 will be released after the CAT result 2023. Considering the previous year cutoff,   the overall IIM Shillong CAT percentile was 92 for the General All India category. The final CAT cutoff for IIM Shillong admission ranges between 90 to 93 percentile.The IIM Shillong qualifying CAT 2022 cut off was 90 percentile with a sectional cutoff of 75 percentile. Candidate who secure the required CAT percentile are invited for further rounds of selection, the WAT and GP-PI round. The admission procedure for IIM Shillong MBA 2024 involves two steps. Firstly, candidates with a valid CAT 2023 will be selected for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates who select IIM Shillong as their preference while filling the CAT 2023 application form can check their shortlist status on the official website when PI form filling starts. Post the shortlisting process of candidates, they are screened for the PI round. IIM Shillong Admission 2023 to PGP course is based on CAT 2023 scores. IIM Shillong admission process is conducted in two phases. In the Phase 1, candidates are shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). In Phase 2, based on the Past Academic Performance, Performance in GD and PI, Performance in CAT, total work experience, and gender, the final merit list is prepared for offer of admission to the PGP 2023-25 batch. It is the phase 2 which is the deciding factor for any candidate's admission to IIM Shillong.
