CAT or GMAT scores are the mandatory requirements for IIMs Management courses like PGP, PGPDGM and PGPEx. So you have to participate in respective exam first. As per the information available on CAT website (https://iimcat.ac.in/), the CAT 2020 registration has been closed on September 23, 2020 and the exam will be conducted on 29 OCT 2020.

Undergrad college matter for selection IIMs and FMS but not a single criteria. It more depend on 10th, 12th, graduation Mark's, achievements and test score, etc. It also depends a lot on GD /PI score. IIM, XLRI, FMS are not the end there are many good B-schools.

Selection in IIM depend on 10th, 12th, graduation, achievements, test score. It is good to study commerce, business or economics at school and college level but not necessary. There is no such best college at 11th and 12 th which can help to get into IIM s but one should try to get into best.
