Well, if you've heard for reliable sources like The Hindu or the Economic Times it is true. The salary at the top 3 IIMs are very high.
Before I mention the salaries, let me start by saying that there are two types of placements:
The Summer Placements: These are internships and salary may range from a few lakhs to even 10,000 per month and is for a period of two to three months. This internship may turn into a full time job based on your performance.
Final Placements: The type of job you get depends on your two years you spent at IIM, your grades, your extra-curriculars and internship. Your final placement salary may range from One Crore

Hi,
GMAT scores are valid only if NRI students want to join JBIMS. You have to appear for MHT CET exam and secure a rank under 30 plus you need to have a Maharashtra domicile. I do not have much idea about IIMs.

For IIMs/FMS there is CAT scorecard required. If you have more than 95 percentile then there are high chances to get a call.

Yes, once you have completed your graduation i.e. (B.Tech), you are eligible to apply in IIM. It only requires graduation with some eligibility criteria. To enroll in MBA from IIM, you need to appear in CAT exam.

For IIM-B the fees is 19.5 for 2 years and C is 17, not sure about A though. There is no concession for SC/ST students but don't worry about it.
IIM-B has financial aid services and if you actually need aid then whole fees can be paid be college or some part thereof depending upon the judgement of the panel. Else you can easily get a loan from a bank. Banks think that IIM students are bankable as such you could get education loan at a very low-interest rate.
Don't worry about the financing part of your study, get an admission call from an IIM and the whole world will be at your door step to help you out (I am not exaggerating).
