The safest percentile would be 95+ for you to get into IIMs.

To be on the safer side, I would suggest you to AIMAT a 99+ score to get a calls from the top three IIMS. Then you really need to prepare well in GDPI to convert the call. Good luck.

No, the fees of IIMS is more, but don't worry about that, one who is getting into IIMS will have multiple sources of getting a loan from banks, where you can clear the loan after your studies while doing a job.

For getting into new IIMs, a general category student needs to score more than 95 percentile in CAT.

There is no group discussion in any of the Iims now. They have written ability test and a personal interview after CAT now.

IIMs have a strong brand value. I would suggest you to take up some job for now and then in November appear for CAT and take a chance.

PGDM is post graduate Diploma in management and MBA is Master of Business Administration. Earlier, IIMS were not allowed to give MBA degree, but post-IIM bill is passed, IIMs have autonomy to decide whether to give MBA degree or PGDM.

HBS has people from all over the world, and thus they have international diversity. They don't give weight majorly to academics like IIMs. They don't have any reservations based on caste. It takes students based on GMAT score.

If you are a general category appearing for CAT you would get a call but would be difficult to convert. But if you are an OBC, SC or ST it would be a cake walk for you.
