The minimum CAT cut-off would be a very biased and limited way to look at the admission procedure. Minimum CAT cutoff would imply that the candidate had brilliant interview, GD and WAT rounds and also his profile was quite stellar. Instead a better way would be to look at the overall composite score which also can be quite random and varies significantly across 6 IIMs. Thus, rather than focusing on these uncontrollable variables, I would advise you to not limit yourself by aiming for a particular CAT score but rather aim to score as high as possible.
