Hello Gaurav,
You have to clear CAT exam to get admission in IIM and other B-School. You have to get more than 90 percentile to get admission in an IIM. Not only CAT exam but you can also give CMAT, GMAT, IIFT, etc.

Hello Prachi,
IIMS , SBIIMS , & IIMHRD all three are the part of SBES.
IIMS offers PGDM course. (Co-ed)
where as SBIIMS offers both MBA & PGDM ( Co-ed)
and IIMHRD offers both MBA & PGDM (Only for girls)
For a girl, to get admission into IIMHRD would prove to be an advantage. Since that institute is specially for girls, it is govt. aided, it provides better opportunities for girls, Including some perks like lesser fee, International tour (included in the fee), scholarships and more.
There is no difference in the standard of teaching amongst three of them.
Good luck!

Hello Tanya! No job experience is not mandatory to get admission into an IIM. But yes, it will be beneficial as a significant weightage is allotted to the work experience factor. An excellent CAT percentile, a great profile and a great interview performance should be enough to get shortlisted for their MBA program:

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are a group of 20 public, autonomous institutes of management education and research in India. Hi Rick,
If you are confused about choosing the right college for you then I would like to say that BIBS is the best choice if you are planning to study in Kolkata. We have great faculty and mentors. We have the best companies coming in every year for placement. We have maintained 100% placement record provided you have 75% attendance. Events are held at regular intervals so you learn while working. So in simple words, you don't have to worry about getting placed in a good company. I think that should be the biggest relief for you. Hope you take the right call. All the best for your future.

Hello,
Generally, the cutoff of all top IIMs is above 99 percentile (and 96+ percentile for new ones) so it's quite difficult to get an interview call at just 90 percentile.

Hello!
Yes, it is compulsory to appear for the interview rounds of any IIM to get the final admission. By the way, these IIMs conduct a Written Ability Test(What) instead of a GD along with the regular PI.
