After clearing the CAT exam, you will have to appear in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview PI rounds at IIM. Both of these rounds, particularly the Personal Interview round, are perceived as difficult. This is due to the following reasons:
1. The questions that could be asked are unpredictable. They can even ask the meaning of your name or surname.
2. There is pressure to get into the top Iims of your choice.
3. The panel is very intelligent and can grill you over anything.
4. Your communication skills will be tested via your response, which can make you a bit self-conscious. However, if you have prepared your profile thoro

At the top Iims, such as IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad, the placement rate is nearly 100 percent. Even those who do not take placement through an institute either go for a start-up or higher studies. Among those who sought placement offers, almost everyone got placed. An average salary package of around 27 LPA was offered to the previous batches. Although this is not true for all Iims, approximately 90% of IIM graduates receive a job offer after completing their MBA at most Iims. Also, not everyone goes for placement; some others go for higher studies to become management professors. Some others plan to do their own start-ups. There

No, there is no concept of free seats in the Indian Institute of Management (Iims). You will have to pay the required fee at the time of admission at each IIM. However, if you need financial aid, then you may get some scholarships. For instance, some Iims, such as IIM Bangalore, offer scholarships to their students. You can get a merit-based Aditya Birla Scholarship up to Rs. 1.75 Lacs at IIM Bangalore. There are 14 such scholarships available at this IIM. Similarly, you can get Shri GC Mittal Entrepreneurship Aid and other scholarships at IIM Ahmedabad.

The interview process is part of the admission procedure at IIMs. Following the release of your CAT results, you must apply online at the official website of the IIM to which you wish to be admitted.

According to the previous year's cutoff percentile of various IIMs, you need to score at least 80 percentile in CAT to get admission. The previous year's cut-off score of some top IIMs for reference is as follows:
1. IIM Ahmedabad: 80 percentile score
2. IIM-Calcutta: 85 percentile in CAT
3. IIM Indore: 90 percentile score
4. IIM Tiruchirappalli: 93 percentile score
5. IIM Rohtak requires a 95 percentile score. You can find the cut-off percentile in the top IIMs on this Shiksha page: https://www.shiksha.com/mba/cat-exam-cutoff.

CAT is an exam where students score an enviable 100 percentile as well. It is not essential to get a 100% but then 99 percentile is the score that is the minimum qualifying criteria if you want to get into an IIM. It is the numbers that play an important role, and the language turns out to be the weakness.
