The Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), commonly known as UP Polytechnic, is an entrance examination conducted for admission to Diploma courses in Polytechnic institutions and pharmacy institutions across Uttar Pradesh, India. The exam is conducted once a year and offers admission to various engineering, technology, and other Diploma programmes in different disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Pharmacy, and many more.

Different UG degree courses at IIMT Greater Noida, and Diploma programmes have their own criteria for scholarships. To qualify for the branch topper award, students of DPharm need at least 75% attendance and their branch must have at least 40 students. However, if a student is caught breaking rules, they won't receive a scholarship. These rules ensure fairness in awarding scholarships to students across different programmes at IIMT.

At IIMT Greater Noida, various courses have distinct scholarship criteria. For BPharm students, the highest prize offered is INR 1.50 lakh, while the lowest prize is INR 5,000, awarded to those achieving 75% - 79.99% in their academic year. The main aim of the DPharm programme at IIMT Greater Noida is to help students understand their roles as pharmacy professionals. The programme prepares them with the skills needed to succeed in the field of Pharmacy and related areas, such as pharmaceutical industry and research.

The DPharm course includes a mix of theoretical and practical subjects. That aims to provide students a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical Science and practice.These subjects often cover areas such as Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Pharmaceutical Microbiology.Additionally, practical training may involve laboratory work, pharmaceutical calculations, dispensing practice, and clinical pharmacy.

IIMT Greater Noida operates a placement cell dedicated to securing internships and placements for students. The institution offers internship opportunities in diverse fields for DPharm students, including healthcare, production, and medical counseling. While internships are not compulsory within the DPharm curriculum, students have the flexibility to pursue them during semester breaks and summer vacations.
