IISER Bhopal - Indian Institute of Science Education & Research

The IISER Bhopal is one of the top universities in Bhopal. It was established in 2007. The government announced this university as an autonomous institute. Aspiring students can choose from courses in BSc, BSc and MSc (dual degrees), integrated PhD (iPhD), and PhD offered by IISER Bhopal. The Centre for Research on Environment and Sustainable Technologies (CREST), the Centre for Research in Advanced Technology for Education in Science (CREATES), and the Centre for Science and Society (CS2) are the three Centres of Excellence within the institute. There are six hostels available for both male and female students, IISER Bhopal is a fully residential campus. IISER Bhopal is home to 1,716 students pursuing education and 132 faculty members. 

The cutoff differs each year based on certain things. The IISER Bhopal offers three admission channels such as the SCB (STATE CENTRAL BOARD), KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana), and IIT JEE Advanced for admission to the BS and BS-MS (Dual Degree) programmes. Based on the category rank list that is acquired from KVPY, a common rank list is generated for candidates who apply through the KVPY channel. The highest ranking candidates would be admitted in the courses offered by IISER Bhopal. The JEE (Advanced) category rank list determines the candidates, after they apply through the JEE channel. For applicants using the SCB, they will have a separate cutoff.

The median package offered during BSc-MSc placements in 2022 increased by more than 18% in comparison to 2021.Previously, five IISER Bhopal final-year students were chosen by Deloitte at IISER Bhopal placements 2022, according to data made public by IISER Bhopal. Additionally, as part of the IISER Bhopal summer internships 2022, a third-year BS student was chosen for a three-month summer internship at nuture.farm. In addition, four Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal students were chosen to participate in IISER internships in France in 2022.The official announcement of the 2023 placement results is still pending. Previously, 13 of the 152 BSc grads were placed in 2022. In 2021, 3 BSc students were successfully placed out of 138 total. Thirteen BSc students were placed during IISER placements in 2022, according to the report. For BSc students, the median package was INR 11.40 LPA.Since IISER Pune had 13 students selected for placement and IISER Bhopal has only 5 students. Therefore, IISER Pune offers better placements.

 The top recruiters of IISER Bhopal are as follows - TCS, Union Bank, Deloitte,  Excel Instruments,  IDBI Bank (Industrial Development Bank of India),  Nurture.farm,  SBI (State Bank Of India), Atotech. Based on information provided by IISER Bhopal, Deloitte chose five final-year students for IISER Bhopal placements in 2022. Additionally, as part of the IISER Bhopal summer internships 2022, a third-year BS student was chosen for a three-month summer internship at nuture.farm. In addition, four Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal students were chosen to participate in IISER internships in France in 2022. In addition, the median package offered during the IISER Bhopal BS and BS-MS placements in 2022 was INR 17.5 LPA and INR 6.5 LPA, respectively, according to the IISER Bhopal NIRF Report 2023

The salary package for the year 2023, is not yet been released. However, the median packages for the year 2022  for BSc UG 4th year students is 17.5 Lakhs per annum. The BSc UG 5th years and MSc students have a median package of 6.5 Lakhs per annum. The median package for the year 2021 for the 5th year students was 5.5 Lacs per annum. Five year students were selected by Deloitte and one 3rd year student was chosen for 3 months summer internship by Nurture.farm.
