To apply for M.Tech course at IIT Bhilai, students need to pay the application fee for GATE. The amount to be paid is INR 850 for females and reserved category students and INR 1,700 for other candidates per paper. The application fees with late fee is INR 1,350 for females and reserved category students and INR 2,200 for other candidates.

For admission to IIT Bhilai MTech course, students are admitted through a valid GATE score. As per the selection process, candidates must pass graduation with BTech from a recognised board. Further, candidates need to appear for GATE entrance exams and get a qualifying score to get shortlisted for the course. Later on, the final seat allotment is done through COAP Counselling session.
