IIT Dhanbad accepts applications online. The MBA application fee is 1,600 INR for Gen/OBC/EWS and 800 INR for SC/ST/PwD.Admission to IIT Dhanbad is based on national entrance exams such as CAT, JEE Advanced, GATE, JAM. For doing MBA, Candidates must first appear for the CAT entrance exam. After getting admission in the CAT exam, candidates will have to appear for the subsequent GD and PI rounds.

Not getting into IIT Dhanbad or any other top IIT should not be considered an end to a student’s career. While IIT Dhanbad average package is INR 20.79 LPA for its 2024 placements batch, can IIT Dhanbad guarantee the same for each and every student of the batch? The answer is no. To get admission to M.Tech in IIT Dhanbad, students need to be eligible to apply for the course. The Institute accepts admission based on GATE entrance scores followed by COAP counselling. Students who are graduated from IIT are exempted from the GATE entrance score requirement. Hence, for admission, students need to apply for GATE by visiting the GOAPS website.
