UPES School of Advanced Engineering is a reputed institution offering a range of engineering courses and was ranked 54th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2023. However, IIT Dhanbad (ISM) is generally known for better job opportunities and a stronger alumni network. Yes, JEE Main is required for BTech at IIT Dhanbad. Candidates seeking admission at BTech course must qualify JEE Main, students selected further need to take JEE Advanced. Based on the score secured in JEE Advanced, students are called for JoSAA Counselling.
