Those who want to study MSc (Tech) at IIT ISM Dhanbad must be Graduated with a qualifying degree with minimum of 50% aggregate or 5.5 CGPA in order to get admission to the Institute. It is crucial for all the aspirants to meet the eligibility requirements. Moreover, the relevant documents shall also be submitted at the time of admission.

IIT Dhanbad offers MSc in three specialisations, including Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & Computing. Additionally, it also offers MSc (Tech) courses in the specialisations, Applied Geophysics and Applied Geology. The application fee and seat intake vary for each of the MSc specialisations. In addition, cutoff marks also vary for admission to these courses.

The total tuition fee of the IIT Dhanbad MSc programme ranges from INR 36,000 to INR 54,000. The total course will further be higher as that includes other components such as Institute Admission fee, Hostel admission fee, benevolent fund, identity card, medical examination fee, Alumnus subscription & IIT Alumni fee, institute development fund, convocation charges, caution money and migration fee. Further, this fee is as per unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative.

Yes, the institute offers MSc courses of duration from two to three years. Aspirants shall check the eligibility criteria to know whether they can apply for the course or not. IIT MSc admission is based on a valid IIT JAM score. Candidates shortlisted based on IIT JAM score are further called for CCMN counselling. During the counselling, the seats are allotted to the eligible students.

IIT Dhanbad is ranked 11 among the top Engineering Institutes in India by NIRF. The Institute offer M.Tech in 16 specialisations including popular ones such as CSE, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. The highest package offered in 2020 placement is INR 50 LPA.

IIT Dhanbad has a total seat intake of 596 which is divided into all 16 specialisations of the course. The seat intake of some popular specialisations are Chemical Engineering (27), CSE (50), Civil Engineering (32), Management Studies (40), etc. After CCMT counselling, seat allotment is carried out as per the seat intake for each M.Tech specialisation.
