Candidates seeking admission to MTech at IIT Goa are required to meet with the minimum eligibility criteria (required for the course) and also have a valid score in the GATE exam. To be eligible, candidates must have one of the following:Completed their BE/ BTech/ BSc (Eng) with at least 60% aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or 6.0 CPI (5.5 in case of SC/ST/PWD) out of 10 ORa first-class specified by the university OR

Admission to BTech at IIT Goa is JEE Advanced based. Candidates seeking admission to BTech cannot get admission to any IIT with only the scores of JEE Main. JEE Advanced followed by JEE Main is the complete requirement. After the selection exams are over, JoSAA Counselling is conducted for seat allotment of BTech courses. Candidates who are eligible to get a seat need to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission to the shortlisted course.

After applying for JEE Main or GATE for admission to BTech or MTech, respectively, candidates are shortlisted for BTech based on JEE Main, JEE Advanced and for MTech based on GATE scores. Then, candidates are allotted seats in JoSAA Counselling for BTech. Admission to M.Tech is through GATE followed by COAP Counselling. The cutoff for BTech and MTech courses is released by the respective counselling bodies. For PhD, the institute releases a merit list announcing the names of the shortlisted candidates. The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 7902 and closing rank was 8909. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 2709 and 14463. Admission to BTech in Electrical Engineering in IIT Goa is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Indian Institute of Technology Goa faculty are degree and Diploma holders. IIT Goa has an experienced faculty. Indian Institute of Technology Goa also invites various guest faculty to the campus for guest lectures. The faculty has received various awards from various awarding bodies.

No, candidates can only get into IIT Goa for M.Tech on the basis of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores followed by COAP counselling. There is no provision for Management quota or direct entry available at the college. For more details, students can reach out to the admission office of IIT Goa or can directly visit the official website of IIT Goa. The seats are limited so apply early as soon as possible. Prior preparation is very important as the competition is very high and seats are limited.
