No, it is necessary to take the JEE exam. Aspirants need to appear for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced and secure a valid All India Rank (AIR). Based on students' AIR, the conducting body calls students for JoSAA counselling and carries out the allotment process. There is no other provision for admission to the BTech course. To seek admission to the BTech course at IIT Indore, candidates must visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and fill out the application form in online mode for JEE Main.

IIT Indore is good and I'm satisfied with my college placements and really good infrastructure. Placements: In my course last year, the average package was about 12–14 LPA. The highest package was 74 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA, and in my course, 18 LPA was the average package.The NIRF ranks IITI at 13th place out of the top 100 engineering institutes. Yes, there is a Placement and Training Cell at IIT Indore to help students with enhancement of skills and preparation of job interviews. The institute invites top companies in campus to offer placement opportunities to students. IIT Indore recorded 89.76% placements for BTech and 65.38% placements for M.Tech batch passed out in 2023. The the highest and average package offered to BTech students during IIT Indore placements in 2023 was INR 68 LPA and INR 25.45 LPA.

IIT Indore offers UG, PG, Dual Degrees and PhD courses in the streams of Engineering and Science. The institute provides full time specialisations in courses such as BTech, MTech, MS, MSc, and PhD.At the UG level, programs include BTech in disciplines including Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering. At the PG level, programs include MTech, MS in History, English, Philosophy and MSc in Chemistry, Astronomy, Mathematics, etc. Only two PhD courses are offered by the institute, namely PhD in Computer Science and Engineering and PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Yes, IIT Indore is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). IITI is recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. The institute is ranked in various categories by NIRF, QS World University Rankings, etc.

Yes, IIT Indore is an officially recognised institute. The Government of India established IIT Indore as an institute of national importance in 2009. IIT Indore has been ranked in several university rankings including THE World University Rankings, THE Asia University Rankings and QS Asia University Rankings.
