There is no link between both, JAM is for Masters, and NIOS is a board for class 10th and class 12th. There is no link between them. JAM board is more concerned with your eligibility test and your qualified degree.

The eligibility criteria of M.Sc. Mathematics of JAM 2020 is given below. Eligibility criteria : A Bachelors degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 if they belong to general/OBC (NCL)/EWS category. For SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates, the eligibility criteria for the exam is such that they should have secured 50% aggregate marks or 5.0 CGPA/CPI out of 10. Aspirants who have given their graduation exam or are set to appear for their final year exams in 2021 also meet IIT JAM eligibility criteria. No, you are not eligible. As per M.Sc Chemistry JAM eligibility criteria, the candidates should have studied Chemistry for three years in Bachelor's degree. However, you can be eligible for M.Sc. Mathematics.

Hello Robin,
You can take IIT JAM exam, condition for this is that you have to score 55% (open category) and 50% (other than open category) in your graduation.
