Yes, the institute may admit candidates without a valid IIT JAM/CUET score directly. However, this is subject to the availability of seats. The preference is given by BIT Mesra to candidates with a good score. Moreover, the aspirants can also reach out to the BIT Mesra Ranchi admission office to get complete details around direct admission process for MSc courses. For OBC candidates if they have ranked within 2000 in IIT JAM exam Physics then they have a chance of getting into IIT. With rank 2530, it will be better to opt for Central University of Rank. ( Admission will not be based on IIT JAM Physics rank ).

To get admission through the general -EWS quota in IIT, then also you should have a rank under 800. With the 1826 rank, one cannot get a seat at IIT through the general -EWS quota.

In IIT JAM examination, section-B comprises of multiple select Question (MSQ). In these type of questions more than one option can be correct. Candidate will get marks only for those questions of MSQ in which he/she has chosen all the correct options. Lets understand it by example. Suppose a ques has three correct options but you have selected only two correct options then you won't be awarded any marks for that question.
