Both the IITs are good but in my opinion, IIT Delhi is better than IIT Kanpur because IIT Delhi provides good infrastructure and good course curriculum.

Yes, you can but I'll suggest you to go for M.Tech instead of M.Sc physics at IIT Kanpur.

If you consider long-term career opportunities, IITs provide wonderful opportunities for PhD.Also, some research schools in Europe and certain universities abroad hire IIT M.Sc students for a Ph.D position based on interviews and GPA(sometimes, research experience plays a more important role).

Hello Abhishek, IIT K is the second best choice of students after IIT Bombay. I feel one must be in top 150 to get shot at admission in IT branch in IIT K.
